Bloodbath by Screamworks

This experience will immerse you in the sinister plot of a cunning serial killer as he tries to find the parts he needs to complete his Great Work. As a guest, you’ll be blindfolded and taken to the scary family home of Jack and Abel in Bethnal Green, where nothing is as it seems and your fate will lie in the balance. While this event is not for the faint-hearted, it is more of a psychological thriller than a traditional ‘haunted house’ attraction. You will be made to feel like you are the main character in your favourite horror movie. Book it here.

HiddenCity

This month, I finished the last one of all the HiddenCity games, which are marvellous treasure hunt type games where you solve a trail of clues, sent to your phone, as you journey across the city. During the game, you’ll interact with characters and the physical world around you including asking for clues in bars, cafes and restaurants and finding some in unexpected places. It’s a super fun weekend day plan and a nice way to explore the city avoiding the very touristy spots. Book it here.

WeJam Studio

Known as the ‘immersive rockstar experience’ WeJam invites you to get a couple of friends over to this studio in Camden to form a band. You’ll pick your instrument and, believe it or not, will play songs together as a band while competing with each other. The easiest way to describe it is: a Guitar Hero but with real instruments. Burnt City by Punchdrunk

Punchdrunk, the world’s leading immersive theatre company, is back in London. You will explore a complete sensory world at your own pace, experiencing scenes in a non-linear way as the story unfolds around you. The story this time is the fall of Troy, where you will witness a mythical world of Gods and mortals who rise from the ashes. It has been one of the most immersive immersive experiences that I’ve ever been to and unlike anything I had seen before, noting it was my first time at a Punchdrunk show. Tips to enjoy: do some research before going, go early to maximise the time in the venue, ditch your group and explore on your own, go more than once! Book it here.

Candlelight

Concerts illuminated by candlelight? I’m definitely in! Fever has recently launched Candlelight, affordable and intimate concerts performed by live musicians in some of the most iconic venues in London that transport you to a fairytale. I had the chance to attend a concert in the beautiful conservatory in Syon Park to listen to City String Ensemble play Movie Soundtrack Disney classics, and I might have shed a tear or two. Clays Bar

Clays brings all the fun of clay target shooting out of the country into the heart of the City. Grab a bunch of friends, dress up (or not) in your best shooting attire and get ready to hold a realistic (heavy) rifle and smash those clay targets. What do YOU think of when you think of Belfast? For me all I could think is a troubled past, Titanic and the well known natural phenomenon Giants Causeway. Other than that I had no idea what I was going to discover on my visit and my expectations were low, which is a good thing, but what’s better is that they were exceeded. Like through the roof!

As you may know, Belfast is in Northern Ireland which is part of the United Kingdom, my current home. What I loved about visiting Belfast was that I needed to hop on a plane so it gave me the feeling I was travelling abroad when I actually wasn’t. That might be you too! A great way to start your trip is to take a hop-on; hop-off bus across all Belfast city top attractions. It’s the perfect way to get started and get an overview of the city if you are short on time and an efficient way to get around the furthest away sites. MALTA: THE ULTIMATE BUCKET LIST

Malta was definitely my travel find of the year. Although not at all tourist free, this tiny island is still not a super popular destination and hence why you should go like – right now. I love how it’s an island and a beach destination but also has beautiful and interesting historic places to visit. Hence, Malta basically meets the needs of the beach lovers, culture seekers and those like me that need a little bit of both. I just get bored being all day at the beach! Anyways, it’s truly awesome. For your convenience I’ve created the below bucket list which covers everything you can possibly do in Malta.

Where to stay and how to get around Malta

Really studied this, and the answer is: it depends on how you intend to get around. There are two forms of transportation in Malta, rental car or public bus. Public buses are incredible, regular and take you to any part of the island. It is the form of transport that I used and loved it. However, a rental car is almost always the best option, and especially if you go for a few days only. Malta is small and easy to drive through and, although the buses are good, you’ll takes a lot less and see a lot more if you get around by car.

If you can’t or don’t want to drive, stay in Valletta. In high season, the buses get full fast. Staying in Sliema, many buses have not stopped because of being over capacity and I lost up to an hour waiting to get on. Buses start and end in Valletta, so you can probably get on a bus really fast and even sit down by going to the bus terminal. Also on the way back, most buses go to Valletta, so you probably won’t wait long even if the buses are busy. I’ve pre-filtered the best hotels in Valletta here.

If you go by car, you can stay anywhere, since distances are short. Some examples are Sliema, St Julian’s Bay, St Paul’s Bay and M ellieha Bay. Find good hotels throughout Malta here.

Berlin is the capital city of Germany as well as the largest and most visited city in the country. As you may already know, it has a pretty turbulent history, specially in most recent times with Hitler and Nazi Germany, and later, the Cold War, where the city was divided and the Berlin Wall was erected. Although years have passed since those events, the scars still show in the city and that’s part of what it makes it so interesting.

Compared with other European cities, including local Munich, Berlin looks very different. Perhaps due to the influence of soviet times, the city looks a lot more industrial and is not the standard of “pretty” in a city. That’s what makes it so unique, mysterious and desired. I think we all have that friend who is obsessed with Berlin!

Not only is Berlin very rich in history, but it has now become a hub for artists and creatives. The city is full of art and young people, which makes it extremely entertaining, specially at night. Its history, art, its industrial laid back vibe and nightlife together with its diverse crowd make it a very special place.
