LONDON’S BEST IMMERSIVE EXPERIENCES

LONDONS-BEST-IMMERSIVE-EXPERIENCES

[updated January 2023]

Looking for immersive experiences in London? Well, good, because I’m a London immersive experience expert. Whenever an immersive experience launches in London, I’m there no matter how weird it is.

Below London’s best immersive experiences that I have tried and tested, organised by type. This article gets updated regularly, check the last published date for the latest update time.

THIS MONTH’S IMMERSIVE EXPERIENCE HIGHLIGHT

Clays Bar

Clays brings all the fun of clay target shooting out of the country into the heart of the City. Grab a bunch of friends, dress up (or not) in your best shooting attire and get ready to hold a realistic (heavy) rifle and smash those clay targets. There are many games to choose from and keep you entertained while you enjoy a few drinks and nibbles. There are now two locations: Moorgate & Canary Wharf. Book it here.

LONDON’S ALL-ENCOMPASSING IMMERSIVE EXPERIENCES

London’s immersive experiences where it’s about the experience itself rather than the drinks or food (even if they are available).

Burnt City by Punchdrunk

Punchdrunk, the world’s leading immersive theatre company, is back in London. You will explore a complete sensory world at your own pace, experiencing scenes in a non-linear way as the story unfolds around you. The story this time is the fall of Troy, where you will witness a mythical world of Gods and mortals who rise from the ashes. It has been one of the most immersive immersive experiences that I’ve ever been to and unlike anything I had seen before, noting it was my first time at a Punchdrunk show. Tips to enjoy: do some research before going, go early to maximise the time in the venue, ditch your group and explore on your own, go more than once! Book it here.

Candlelight

Concerts illuminated by candlelight? I’m definitely in! Fever has recently launched Candlelight, affordable and intimate concerts performed by live musicians in some of the most iconic venues in London that transport you to a fairytale. I had the chance to attend a concert in the beautiful conservatory in Syon Park to listen to City String Ensemble play Movie Soundtrack Disney classics, and I might have shed a tear or two. Book it here.

VISITING BELFAST: EPIC BELFAST BUCKET LIST & TRAVEL GUIDE

VISITING BELFAST: BUCKET LIST AND TRAVEL GUIDE JAFFA MEMORIAL FOUNTAIN

What do YOU think of when you think of Belfast? For me all I could think is a troubled past, Titanic and the well known natural phenomenon Giants Causeway. Other than that I had no idea what I was going to discover on my visit and my expectations were low, which is a good thing, but what’s better is that they were exceeded. Like through the roof!

As you may know, Belfast is in Northern Ireland which is part of the United Kingdom, my current home. What I loved about visiting Belfast was that I needed to hop on a plane so it gave me the feeling I was travelling abroad when I actually wasn’t. That might be you too! Let me walk you through my own personal recommendations on how to spend your time in Belfast.

WONDERFUL THINGS TO DO IN BELFAST

Hop-on; hop-off Belfast’s main sites

A great way to start your trip is to take a hop-on; hop-off bus across all Belfast city top attractions. It’s the perfect way to get started and get an overview of the city if you are short on time and an efficient way to get around the furthest away sites. I took this one with Belfast City Tours and loved it. It stops on 19 sites (many which I feature below) and pricing wise it’s great. Book it here, or below:

FEMME LUXE HAUL XII

For this Femme Luxe haul, got two cute items as usual! This time I got two cute corset type tops that I’d thought would look nice and elegant. The items I chose weren’t so suitable for winter but had been eyeing them for a while and decided to go for them anyways, and I don’t regret it.

The first item was a beautiful corset type off shoulder top in a unique shade of green. This top is gorgeous! I love how the fabric has a unique texture and the top itself also changes textures. I also love how the sleeves are versatile in that they can either be hanging on the side or stay on my shoulders. This top can easily be worn with trousers, or in my case I styled it with a silk long skirt for a very dreamy look. It’s a head turner, romantic and original. Plus, the shade of green is quite unique. It can be worn with jeans, trousers or even a short skirt depending on what you are going for, really.

The second item I got is a black PU strapless corset. When I originally got it I thought I’d be too small but it’s super flexible so it fit me just fine. Of course you can wear this corset on its own but in winter what’s better than wearing it with a long sleeve top under? I opted in for a turtleneck but my desired look would be with a white shirt. How chic would that be? Pair it with some knee high boots and there you go, a killer look. It can also go with jeans and a belt as the model is wearing in the photo. Looks super classy and special.

FIRST NORACORA HAUL

Based in the Hong Kong, Noracora is an online website selling trendy women’s outfits and a huge variety of other women’s wear such as shoes, clothing, jewelry, bags, jumpsuits, leggings, and much more at affordable prices. They’ve reached out so I could do a review, so here I am. I’ve ordered 4 items.

First item was this turtleneck long black dress. I actually really liked it, the fabric is polyester but it’s still nice and comfy. As you can see in the product picture vs my picture it looks pretty similar, the website one seems a bit more flowy and with more fabric at the bottom but maybe I should have sized up (I ordered an S and I’m between S-M). I’m happy with it.

Second, I got a sweater dress. It looked quite intricate and detailed in the photos so was a bit apprehensive of what it would actually look like but it did look great even if slightly different than the one in the website, as I think the fabric looked heavier there. Received lots of compliments on it and I’m really, really happy with it.

KRAKOW BUCKET LIST

Krakow Bucket List: Old Town – via Joel Bitantes Palma

If you only have time to visit one city in Poland, make it Krakow. This city is rich in culture and history, it has beautiful architecture, it’s super cheap and it’s fun. Krakow also has interesting and key places to visit nearby, one of them being the hard to digest but not to be skipped, Auschwitz. Below I outline the best things to do in Krakow, as well as accommodation and transportation tips.

Krakow Bucket List: Things To Do

Explore Krakow’s Old Town

Make this the first thing you do. As soon as I got to Krakow I did a free walking tour of the Old Town. The tour guide was super knowledgeable and took us to many beautiful sites including the Main Market Square & St Marys church, Cloth Hall and Townhall Tower, the remains of medieval city walls with Barbican and St Florian Gate, St Francis Church, Bishops Palace, the Papal Window, Wawel Hill, Wawel Castle and Wawel Dragon.

I ended up doing a bunch of free tours in Krakow with the same company, they always had Polish guides which made a lot more authentic.
